If you are unable to find a manual for your wood stove, then you will need to measure the channel on the stove door to determine the appropriate size gasket to order.
REMOVE THE OLD GASKET - Using a flat-head screwdriver or similar tool, gently pry up the old gasket. Carefully remove the entire length of gasket using a scraping motion with the screwdriver.
CLEAN THE CHANNEL - Using a wire brush, proceed to remove any cement or adhesive that may remain in the channel. Be careful not to scrape any nearby enamel surfaces. Remove any stubborn deposits with a small chisel.
MEASURE THE CHANNEL - Measure the DEPTH of the channel. Next, measure the WIDTH of the channel. You will want to order a diameter of rope gasket that is the LARGEST of these two measurements. Example: If your channel measures 3/4" deep by 1" wide, you would order a 1" diameter rope gasket.
